The organizers of the symposium have made the following arrangements for delegates arriving in Beijing. ARRIVAL AT BEIJING INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT Beijing International Airport will open the IAFSS Symposium Privilege Passage to facilitate delegates arrival. Symposium delegates will enjoy fast customs and passport check by producing the invitation letter issued by CFPA. (please bring this with you). Once in the Airport Arrival Hall there will be volunteers holding IAFSS signs to meet arriving delegates and guide them to IAFSS Symposium Shuttle Bus. (remember to book this) Contact Ms Dan Li at the CFPA with your flight details to book the shuttle bus: e-mail: zbld99@163.com For delegates arriving at other times, please take a taxi to your hotel. Below we have given the three symposium hotel addresses in Chinese and English. Please show the relevant Chinese address to the taxi driver. REGISTRATION AT SYMPOSIUM HOTELS In the Lobby of each of the three Symposium hotels there will be a Registration Desk for delegates to register and collect their Delegate Bag and Documents. (As we know at which hotel most delegates are staying, your registration documents will be at your chosen hotel). If you are not staying in any of the designated hotels, then please go to the TianHong Plaza Hotel (Symposium HQ hotel) where your delegate documents will be waiting. If you arrive at your hotel after the close of the Lobby Registration Desk (17.00hrs), then there will be an Organizer's Room in each of the hotels where delegates can go to collect their Documents. These will be open until late on the 18th Sept and will be clearly signposted with the IAFSS logo. If you are planning to arrive after the 18th September then Registration will have moved to the Conference Halls at Tsinghua University. Registration will be from 7am each day in the Lobby of the Main Building approx 500 metres north of the East Gate Entrance of Tsinghua University. This partial map shows approx 20% of Tsinghua University with the location of the Main Building and East Gate marked. TianHong Plaza and Xijiao Hotels are located to the south of the East Gate. The Jin Chun Yuan Hotel on campus is located on the west side of the campus close to the Main Gate.
Airport Transfers (posted 31 August 2005) China Swan International Tours, which is appointed by Chinese organizer (China Fire Protection Association), will arrange shuttle buses between Beijing Capital International Airport and 3 hotels (Tianhong Plaza, Xijinao Hotel and Jinchunyuan Hotel) at 8:00-23:00 on September 17th and 18th. On the occasion, there will be a nameplate at the entrance of airport, and the guide will show you the way to the shuttle buses. The price of shuttle bus is USD$10 per person.
