Tour of Downtown Beijing
Here is a great reason to arrive a day early! You will have a tour of some of the major sights in Beijing. Tour buses will drop you to Wangfujing Street and Tian An Men Square for sightseeing. Tian An Men Square occupies an area of 440, 000 square meters-spacious enough to accommodate half a million people. Many annual and special celebrations and assemblies are held here. Wangfujing Street has a history of more than 100 years. The street, which is less than one kilometer long, is lined with shops. Two shifts of buses will be provided to take delegates downtown from the TianHong Plaza, Xi Jiao and Jin Chun Yuan Hotels at 9:00 hrs and 14:00 hrs and back again at 12:00 hrs and 17:00 hrs respectively.
Attendee cost (not include lunch) is included in your registration fee.

Sunday, 18 September

Welcome Reception
Join us at 18:30 for the Welcome Reception in the magnificent TianHong Plaza Hotel. The hotel is located at the center of the Zhongguancun Science & Technology Area which contains more than ten famous universities. The courtyard style architecture, the green lawn and the bubbling fountain, all these things will make you feel relaxed and comfortable. Buses will be provided to take delegates to the TianHong Plaza Hotel from Xi Jiao and Jin Chun Yuan Hotels at 18.00 hrs, and back again at the end of the reception (about 20:30 hrs). Attendee cost is included in your registration fee.

Monday, 19 September

CFPA Banquet
There is a grand banquet hosted by CFPA to welcome all the guests from different countries to join the IAFSS 8th Symposium in Beijing. Prestigious officials from the China Fire Service will be invited to the banquet and you will be provided with delicate Chinese traditional food at a first class banquet hall. Buses will be provided to take delegates to the banquet hall from TianHong Plaza, Xi Jiao and Jin Chun Yuan Hotels at 18.30 hrs, and back again at the end of the banquet. This is a complimentary event from CFPA to all the delegates and accompanying persons.

Tuesday, 20 September

Beijing Night Show
This is an optional event for which tickets will cost US$40 – including dinner. Enjoy a Chinese traditional entertainment, Grand China Show. The show concentrates the quintessence of Chinese opera, integrates the modern fashion with the ancient civilization. Buses will be provided to take delegates to the theatre from TianHong Plaza, Xi Jiao and Jin Chun Yuan Hotels at 17:45 hrs, and back again at the end of the Show (about 20:30 hrs).

Wednesday, 21 September

Golden Resources Shopping Mall
This is an optional event to enable you to enjoy a unique shopping experience at Golden Resources Shopping Mall where you will not only enjoy shopping, but also taste various Chinese traditional and delicious snacks at your own expense on the fifth floor. Buses will be provided to take delegates to the shopping Mall from TianHong Plaza, Xi Jiao and Jin Chun Yuan Hotels at 18:00 hrs, and back again at about 21:00 hrs. Cost is included in your registration fee.

Thursday, 22 September

IAFSS 2005 Symposium Banquet
Set in the Xi Jiao Hotel, the Symposium Banquet will feature fine dining and a presentation of a number of prestigious awards. You will enjoy wonderful Peiking Opera and Chinese traditional sideshows. Buses will be provided to take delegates to the banquet hall from TianHong Plaza and Jin Chun Yuan Hotels at 18.30 hrs, and back again at the end of the banquet. Attendee cost is included in your registration fee.

Friday, 23 September

Closing Reception
Delegates will walk to the Tsinghua Unisplendour International Center which is located at east gate of Tsinghua University for a final exchange of good fellowship at the closing reception, starting at 12:00 hrs. Food and drink will be served. Two shifts of buses will be provided to take the delegates back to TianHong Plaza, Xijiao and Jin Chun Yuan Hotels at 13:00 hrs and 13:30 hrs -the end of the Reception. Attendee cost is included in your registration fee.
